Our children will develop gross motor such as crawling, running, jumping, throwing and climbing etc. In relation to fine motor skill, our children will be taught the necessary skills and knowledge on daily habits and practices. Preschool also helps kids learn self-care skills they will need in kindergarten, such as putting on their own shoes and coats, feeding themselves, and using the bathroom independently. Fine-motor activities, which are important for writing, grasping, and coordinating fine movements, include drawing, cutting, coloring, and gluing. Gross motor skills are often worked on during recess and may involve using playground equipment, running, skipping, jumping, and kicking or throwing a ball to a partner.
We will help our children to learn how to share, be patient, respect others, being independence, display socially acceptable behavior, be understanding and share the feelings of others. Preschool also aims to teach kids social and school-readiness skills. These lessons include teaching kids how to function in a group setting, with an emphasis on such behaviors as sharing, turn-taking, cooperative play, transitioning from one activity to the next, and following classroom rules.
Creative experiences can help our children express and cope with their feelings. In addition, creativity helps to foster mental growth in our children by providing opportunities for them to try out new ideas, new ways of thinking and develop problem-solving skills.
BB’s children will learn the simple relationships of sorting & matching, patterns in our surrounding, counting, numbering, comparisons, basic formal operations (like addition, subtraction, division and multiplication), shapes from 2-D and 3-D objects. They identify simple picture graphs. Naturally, they will become good problem solvers.
All children are curious by nature. In Blue Blossoms International Preschool, we incorporate Science to help our student to develop and enhance the 3 skills such as observation, critical thinking and experimenting.
At Blue Blossoms International Preschool, we offer Phonics classes for our children in a separate session. Our lessons and activities included storytelling, nursery rhymes, puppetry which all are conducted in both English and Tamil. The interface of these two languages will aids our children to switched rapidly between the left and right hemisphere of their brain where there will be an increase in brain activities. This will also aids in the development of the left and right side of their brain which is essential at a young age. Research shows that learning two languages at a young age offers linguistic and cognitive advantages. In addition, our English immersion programme aids children in learning how to listen, speak, read, and write in English by surrounding them with conversation and instruction in English.
